Civil CAD Technician

A major focus of our work at CM Design Group is to provide PS&E documents for transportation, civil and site improvements, mainly for cities in the Puget Sound region. We take pride in having complete, accurate, and easy to read plans, and attention to detail is critical. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively with all employees and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Set up plan sets using AutoCAD and Civil 3D
• Work with topographic surveys to develop project basemaps
• Develop site prep, paving, drainage, utilities, and striping plan sheets
• Develop roadway and storm drainage profiles
• Draft details
• Red-line drafting edits
• Maintain company CAD Standards documentation

Requirements

• One to three years of experience drafting/designing transportation, storm, and site civil projects in AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Associates degree preferred
• Applicants must be willing to be tested on Civil 3D knowledge and ability
• Focus on providing PS&E documents
• Self-motivated with good communication and time management skills
• Ability to work in a small office environment is important
